Just City - Land and Housing

FES Namibia, amongst other FES offices in the region, is strengthening social democratic urbanisation through the regional project “Just City.” Our approach is to stimulate a politico-economic discussion sensitive to the Namibian context, empirically embedded and focused on necessary political processes to improve urban dwellers' situation and enhance democratic participation through national and municipal alliances towards a 'Just City' in Namibia. In this course, FES Namibia intends to define 'Just City' principles in a participatory approach with various stakeholders willing to commit to an inclusive development towards just cities in Namibia.
